Incention’s Emergence Signs with WME to Expand into Audio Storytelling

A New Chapter for Emergence

We’re excited to share that Emergence, the sci-fi franchise created by acclaimed writer and producer David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight Trilogy, Blade, Foundation), has signed with WME to develop an immersive audio series. This is a big step for both Emergence and the Incention platform as we continue to explore new ways to build and grow modern franchises. WME will support the expansion of Emergence into audio storytelling, bringing its expansive universe to life in podcast format. It’s the first of several narrative formats we’re planning, and a key moment for our vision of collaborative worldbuilding.

Turning the Volume Up: Why Audio

David Goyer’s previous success in audio includes Batman Unburied, which became a breakout hit on Spotify. That project showed the potential of immersive audio storytelling and now Emergence aims to push that further by adding something new: real participation. With the Incention platform, audiences are more than just listeners. They have access to tools that let them shape the world, contribute ideas, and collaborate with other fans and creators in real time. It’s a new kind of storytelling experience that is part show, part sandbox, part creative studio.

Rebuilding the Franchise Model

Emergence is our first flagship IP, designed to test and showcase a different approach to franchise development. Built on Story, our blockchain protocol, it allows creators and rights holders to tokenize their IP, protect it, and open it up for structured collaboration. This keeps ownership and revenue-sharing clear, while empowering broader participation. Since launch, the Incention platform has welcomed over 85,000 users and facilitated more than 120,000 AI-assisted storytelling sessions through our co-pilot, Atlas. We’re building the foundation for stories that don’t just entertain but evolve with their communities.
